Listed-building and technical design
A group of Grade II listed barns brought together as one home without losing the character of the individual structures.
The connecting accommodation sits below ground, with a planted roof preserving the visual separation of the barns. Carefully sequenced support protected existing walls during excavation.
The listed buildings gained a viable new use and now function as one home without a visually dominant above-ground connection.
